Help Scottish Dobermann Rescue

We always need help and support

We’re a busy charity that needs constant help with spreading the word, donations to the charity, volunteers, foster parents for the dogs in our care, and more. Find out below how you can help:

Donate

Our organisation runs purely on the generosity of our followers and their donations to help fund our cause. If you would like to donate towards our charity you can do so via PayPal or Bank Transfer.

We depend on funding organised by our amazing fundraising team who have set up numerous auctions and raffles using our social media profiles. We have a fundraising group on Facebook that often has some wonderful gifts up for grabs. You can join our facebook group by following this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/348680422654972/

Volunteering

Covering the whole of Scotland has some restrictions depending on where we can find volunteers to help with aspects of operating the rescue. We’re always happy to have new volunteers willing to help with home checks, assessments, transport, foster etc

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please get in touch

We value each and every one of our volunteers throughout the country, we couldn’t help as many dogs without you.

Fostering

Fostering is a vital part of rescue, its the stepping stone between dogs being surrendered and finding their forever homes. While in foster care the dogs are assessed to find out what kind of home would best suit their needs, some dogs that come into our care have behavioural issues that can be worked on while in foster.

Fostering is something that most people with a passion for the breed can help with, the rescue can provide all the necessary things for looking after the dog, even food if needed. The idea is that we can have the dogs in a loving home environment but reduce the cost for the volunteers.

Someone who doesn’t work or maybe can commit to a dog full time would consider fostering as the costs can be covered by the rescue.

All necessary vet bills are covered by the charity while dogs are in foster.

Adoption

Adoption is our end goal for these dogs, it provides a forever home for the dogs we take in and the adoption donation allows us to continue to help more dogs in need.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from our organisation, please get in touch. We will ask you to fill out an application form, arrange a home check and then hopefully match you to one of the dogs in our care.

Our mission

Our mission at the Scottish Dobermann Rescue is to provide permanent homes and support for the Dobermanns that need it in Scotland. We do this by temporarily housing Dobermanns that are unwanted while we find them new homes. We work on any issues that may have caused them to be needing rehomed in the first place in order to give them the best chance when going to their new home. We provide microchipping, neutering and health checking services to any dobermanns that we come across.

We also provide support to other rescues and organisations in the UK, all with the end goal of providing care and attention to the welfare of dogs in general.

These gorgeous dogs need good homes

Have a look at our Dogs In Need page to see the dogs currently in our care searching for their forever homes.
